The history of Findley Roofing & Building Yorkshire
Findley Roofing & Building Yorkshire was founded nearly 40 years ago by Brian Findley. Originally from Harrogate, Brian moved further up north at the age of 21 when he first married. His sons Grant and Robert were introduced to the family roofing company from a young age, when there were only four roofers and one person in the office – much like with most roofing companies today.
Over the first 20 years, Brian struggled to keep the business moving along while also being the company’s head roofing expert. It’s hard trying to run a business when you’re on a roof! Brian eventually handed over the reins to his two sons; Grant Findley now runs the company with help from his brother Robert. Both have featured on the BBC show, DIY SOS.
Our recommended roofing services have improved leaps and bounds over the last decade to establish Findley Roofing & Building Yorkshire as the largest independent roofing company in the North of England – and more specifically, excellent roofing contractors in Harrogate servicing North Yorkshire.
